The past, the truth forgotten
Find me now, before I lose it all |
It had been centuries since Max and Zack had parted ways after he had declared his love for her and it scared the hell out of her. They’d been searching for the other members of their team and had managed to track down Brynn. While they’d tried to help her in the end she ended up being killed by the other soldiers that were after that, something that weighed heavily on Max, that she hadn’t been able to save the one who was like a sister to her. On her own once again she found herself in England where she caught wind of a serial killer, the killings seemed to be familiar, the way that she and the others had been trained to kill which made Max wonder just who was dropping the bodies. She tracked the killer through France and Spain before finally locating him in Italy. The moment she laid eyes on him she knew something had happened to Alec, he wasn’t the same as she remembered him to be and he needed to be stopped one way or another.
Finding him in the midst of hunting down someone that he’d forced to run Max wanted to do whatever it took in order to free the man he was after, she needed to do whatever it took. Chasing him through the woods, her eyes glowing green and turning catlike she jumped up into the trees, jumping from tree to tree to avoid him from tracking her. Once she was above him Max pounced, landing on Alec and tackling him to the ground. “What the hell are you doing?” she demanded, struggling to keep him pinned down. Glancing around she noticed the man that he’d been chasing pause briefly. “Get out of here,” she yelled at him then watched as he took off. Turning back to Alec she growled, punching him in the jaw as she jumped off of him. Still, she crouched down, her arms raised as she circled him, waiting for his next move while she tried to figure out what happened to him. “What’s going on, Alec?” she asked, her eyes glowing briefly as she kept a close eye on him, “A serial killer? This isn’t you.”
