After a year of being trapped in hell, or in hell time, 120 years, getting twisted and tortured into becoming a demon, she had finally crawled out of there and thank god she had managed to make a deal with the Mother of the King of Hell to get her original body back and, as promised, she had been waiting for her, ready to cast the spell to give Katherine her old body back.

Katherine definitely couldn't lie that it was great being back in her old body again and much to her luck, Elena was no longer around but, from what she had heard, she was in some kind of deep slumber and, at first, Katherine liked to spend a lot of her time partying and having a good time, doing whatever she wanted now that she didn't have to fear Klaus anymore. Sure, he was powerful but as far as she knew, the hybrid knew nothing about demons, meaning he wouldn't know how to send her back and definitely not how to kill her but of course she could only enjoy herself for so long.

After awhile of having her own little fun, she couldn't help but start getting pissed about all the years she spent running from him and she certainly wasn't going to let him win this time around so she knew she had to hunt him down. Sure, she couldn't kill him but she could definitely give him a beating, not caring about the beating she'd get in the process.

So, Katherine had tracked down someone that worked under Klaus, deciding to get the information she needed from him forcefully, just to find out how to get to Klaus and even the best way to get to him.

Katherine had tracked the Vampire at the Mystic Grill, who seemed to be having a little fun and Katherine hid in a booth in the corner, making sure he didn't see her until he took off and it was at that point that she followed him into an alley down the block and started torturing him for information, using Vervain, wood and all to get him to talk.
